The Impact You'll Make in this Role
As a Senior Application Engineer for the USAC Area within 3M's Industrial Specialties Division, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
  • Providing expert technical support for 3M's flexographic mounting tapes & repulpable splicing tapes
  • Leads product trials at customer sites
  • Collaborates with sales team to win new business and defend at-risk business
  • Supports new product introductions
  • Trains customers on proper use of 3M Paper & Print products.
  • Troubleshoots and manages analysis in instances of customer complaints
  • Prepared and available for travel to customer locations throughout the U.S. and Canada

Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution (completed and verified prior to start)

AND
  • Five (5) years of experience in the Paper & Printing industry

OR
  • Five (5) years of customer-facing Application Engineering experience

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
  • Flexographic Technical Association (FTA) FIRST Level 1-3 Certifications
  • SAPPI safety training in coated graphic, packaging, and specialty papers production
  • Adhesive science expertise
  • Training content development & delivery experience

Work location: on-site 4 days/week
  • Maplewood, MN

Travel: May include up to 40% US/Canada travel
