Job Purpose and Impact

The Senior Application Developer is a seasoned professional responsible for leading and supporting the design, integration, and implementation of scalable ERP solutions that align with strategic business objectives. This role acts as a critical bridge between functional requirements and technical execution, ensuring solutions are designed for scalability, resilience, and longterm growth.

The role is accountable for leading and executing application design, configuration, implementation, and maintenance of crossfunctional applications, while ensuring endtoend integration and adherence to governance standards across the systems landscape. Strong experience delivering large and complex enterprisescale applications is required, with SAP experience preferred. Operating with minimal supervision, and guiding & mentoring more junior team members, this role performs and oversees testing, quality assurance, configuration, and ongoing production support, ensuring stable, highquality, and timely delivery of solutions.

Key Accountabilities
  • APPLICATION CONFIGURATION MANAGEMENT: Builds and drives complex application configurations to meet user and business requirements while identifying improvements to complex application support processes and procedures.
  • APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT & DEPLOYMENT: Performs and drives the design, configuration, testing, deployment, and support of changes and fixes, in accordance with established standards and practices.
  • COMMUNICATION & SUPPORT: Plays a key role and keeps an open channel of communication with stakeholders and responds to support requests and needs.
  • APPLICATION SUPPORT: Conducts and leads advanced and complex application support activities to maintain system stability and meet business outcomes.
  • STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT: Collaborates effectively with business partners, technical peers, & vendors in multi-functional global teams, to ensure solutions and configurations align with business requirements and best practices.
  • INCIDENT & REQUEST MANAGEMENT: Leads prioritization of incoming incident tickets & user requests and driving timely resolution
Qualifications
  • Minimum requirement of 4 years of relevant work experience. Typically reflects 5 years or more of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ERP & DOMAIN EXPERTISE: Solid handson experience with enterprisescale applications (ERP preferred) in a technofunctional capacity, demonstrating strong solution design and delivery capabilities. Deep knowledge of, and experience within, one or more ERP business domains (Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Agriculture, Finance etc.)
  • FULL LIFE CYCLE IMPLEMENTATION: Proven experience delivering large and complex application implementations (eg. ERP) across the full lifecycle, including system design and implementation, deployment, golive, and postgolive stabilization and support, leveraging Agile, Scrum and/or DevOps practices
  • PROGRAMMING & CUSTOMIZATION: Knowledge and/or experience with languages such as Java, C#, Python, or platform specific scripting (eg. ABAP for SAP) for application customization and experience with various pipelines, is preferred
  • DATA MIGRATION & INTEGRATION: Experience with data migration strategies and large scale data transfers from legacy systems, including ETL processes
Short Description

Minnesota Sick and Safe Leave accruals of one hour for every 30 worked, up to 48 hours per calendar year unless otherwise provided by law.

The expected salary for this position is $95,000- $145,000. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, certifications, education, and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. This position is eligible for a discretionary incentive award. The incentive award amount is dependent upon company performance and your personal performance. At Cargill we put people first.
