Junior Accountant
We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant. This role is critical in maintaining accurate financial records, managing job costing, and supporting project accounting functions working closely with the Controller.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using QuickBooks
  • Manage accounts payable, including subcontractor payments
  • Track and reconcile job costs, budgets, and change orders.
  • Invoicing customers monthly, payment application and balancing.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries.
  • Assist with audits, tax filings, and year-end closing procedures.
  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure accurate cost tracking and reporting.
  • Maintain vendor and subcontractor records, including W-9s and certificates of insurance.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience with bookkeeping/accounting support (minimum 2 years preferred).
  • General understanding of construction accounting principles, including job cost coding preferred (not required)
  • Proficiency in Quickbooks software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Pay Details: $65,000.00 to $70,000.00 per year
