Junior Accountant
LHH Recruitment Solutions is looking for a Junior Accountant for a client in Cincinnati, OH. This position supports the accounting team with a primary focus on accounts receivable while assisting with payables, sales order processing, expense reporting, and month-end close activities. The role also provides general administrative and accounting support to ensure accurate financial operations. This position is hybrid with 3 days in office and 2 days working from home a week. Pay will range between $50K and $65K annually and the terms are temp to hire, with the potential to be hired on permanently after 6 months.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage accounts receivable activities including invoicing, cash application, and follow-up on outstanding balances
  • Review and process customer sales orders to ensure accuracy and proper documentation
  • Apply daily customer payments and maintain accurate account records
  • Assist with accounts payable functions including invoice entry, coding, and payment processing
  • Audit and approve employee expense reports for compliance with company policies
  • Support month-end close activities including reconciliations and reporting
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to billing, payments, and expense reports
  • Maintain organized financial documentation and records
  • Provide general administrative support to the accounting team
  • Assist with ad hoc projects and additional accounting duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor or Associate degree in business, accounting, or a related field is preferred
  • 2+ years of accounting, accounts receivable, or related experience preferred
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other standard office applications
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work both independently and within a team
