Job description

Job Summary

The group has two main arms, Faes & Co (www.faes.co which manages the Faes & Co Income Fund, and F2 Finance (www.f2finance.com) which is our lending business. Our group structure is evolving as we raise additional capital and grow our business, and we need additional accounting support.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the team by performing various financial tasks and ensuring accurate and efficient record-keeping. This position requires a strong understanding of financial concepts and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

This is an exciting role for a hard-working, detail-orientated individual looking to develop into an accountant.

You will work alongside our Financial Controller in assisting with the management of the group's accounts, and this will include various tasks.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to
  • Perform day-to-day accounting functions, including bookkeeping, reconciliations, and data entry for all entities;
  • Reconciliation of Loans and Loan book against other systems for all entities;
  • Processing cash and reconciling bank statements for all entities;
  • Managing AP function from invoice processing through to vendor payments for all entities;
  • Assisting with the preparation of end-of-month internal management reporting and reports for external institutional investors for all entities;
  • Monitoring inflows and loan repayments to assess available cash for lending for all entities;
  • Assist with financial analysis including P+L and balance sheet reconciliations, budgeting, and forecasting as required for all entities;
  • General accounting admin and other ad-hoc tasks as required.

Requirements

Experience with a funds management or lending business would be a major advantage. In addition to this, you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent qualification);
  • Two years of work experience as an accounting assistant, bookkeeper or junior accountant;
  • Proficient understanding of US GAAP accounting principles;
  • Comfortable multi-tasking and working against deadlines;
  • Proficiency in Google Business Apps (including GoogleSheets), and Quickbooks.
