About the Role

DSWD is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant in Fort Wayne, IN, to prepare and analyze financial statements, manage complex accounting matters, support tax and audit engagements, and help improve client accounting processes. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys solving problems, developing client relationships, and mentoring junior team members.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review financial statements, journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses.

  • Ensure financial information is accurate and compliant with GAAP.

  • Support tax preparation, regulatory compliance, and audit engagements.

  • Identify accounting issues and recommend process improvements.

  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

  • Communicate effectively with clients and internal team members.

  • Mentor and review the work of junior accounting staff.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.

  • Four or more years of professional accounting experience.
