Judicial Assistants must have strong organizational and communication skills, as well as a good understanding of legal procedures.

What does a judicial assistant do?

Judicial assistants perform administrative tasks for federal, state, or county judges. Daily job duties include transcribing court correspondence, drafting court documents, and filing paperwork. To thrive as a Judicial Assistant, you need strong organizational skills, legal knowledge, and attention to detail, typically supported by a high school diploma or associate degree and experience in legal or administrative settings. Familiarity with court management software, legal research databases, and document preparation tools is common in this role.
