Responsibilities
The Journeyman should be a outside linemen, inside wiremen, installer technician, electrician, or Master Electrician who has been engaged at the trade for at least five (5) years.  
  • Lighting PMs 

  • Battery PMs  

  • Rack moves, deployments, and decommissioning  

  • Security gate repair 

  • Inverter testing on battery backups for lights 

  • Team scheduling and material requisition 

  • Receptacle panel installations and retrofits 

  • MTS board validations, actuation, and installation 

  • Electrical Panel Schedules 

  • Spill Prevention kits for Generators, Substations, etc. 

  • Heat trace annual testing and installation/retrofits 

  • Electrical project support 

  • Willpower issues (Nonscheduled, high priority work); Usually DC floor related issues related to cooling)

EDUCATION OR EQUIVALENT EXPERIENCE
    • At least five (5) years of experience in the trade 

    • NFPA-70e 

    • Formal training in approved vocational schools in the fundamentals of the trade  

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills required for working effectively with Account Director, team members, vendors, and customers on daily data center operations 

    • Exceptional written technical proficiency to support the creation and revision of process documentation (MOPs, SOPs, and EOPs) and other relevant business documents and correspondences 

    • Above average problem-solving and analytical skills for evaluating a situation, identifying solutions, and working with leadership and teammates to resolve 

    • Exceptional time management skills and the ability to prioritize work in a fluid environment  

    • Embraces a team-based mentality by building positive morale and team spirit, supporting teammates efforts to succeed, and recognizing teammates accomplishments 

    • Able to function effectively and maintain focus in high-pressure situations 

    • Has a “can-do” customer service attitude who is conscientious and takes personal pride in their work 

    • Has high degree of attention to detail and completes tasks on time 

    • Able to follow instructions, respond to management direction, and volunteer readily when asked 

    • Able to handle changing needs and priorities accurately and professionally 

    • Able to read and understand electrical and mechanical manuals, drawings, and sketches 

    • Able to work proficiently and safely with hand tools and power tools
