Job Description:

  • You will support handling, loading, and offloading of non-ordnance items on submarines at Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam (JBPHH) piers and within the confines of the Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard (PHNSY) and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (IMF) Controlled Industrial Area (CIA) on a single submarine at one time.
  • Transport to/from a storage facility located on JBPHH and load/offload inert Torpedo handling shapes, Ballast Cans, VLS platforms, Weapons Deck Skids, VA Class Weapon Cradles, All Up Round Simulators (AURS) and associated Handling Equipment.
  • On-load, offload, and transport to or from storage (VLS PSE, SSE, etc.), or a combination of both simultaneously.
  • Transport VLS Platforms and Submarine Weapons Handling Deck Skids to/from JBPHH and Navy Munitions Command (NMC). These items will be loaded/ offloaded from the vehicles at WESTLOCH by the NMC.
  • This includes upkeep of equipment which may require cleaning, grinding, sanding, priming, painting and glue pads on platforms, weapons cradles, ECL, PODS, VLS and ballast cans. We also support Submarine VLS Peculiar Support Equipment (PSE).
  • We have daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly maintenance, inspecting, testing of equipment, slings, and components in accordance with MRC, SOP and Tech Manuals.
Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be able to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance Level
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least one (1) year of industrial and/or maintenance experience.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. at times.
  • Able to work dockside, onboard ships, in submarines and other vessels, and in warehouse environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Forklift Certification
  • Respirator Certification
  • CDL License

Security Clearance:

Applicants must have an active security clearance and/or the ability to obtain and maintain a US government security clearance. Selected candidates will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain a DoD government-granted security clearance. Individuals will be subject to a background investigation to include but not limited to, criminal history, employment and education verification, drug testing, and creditworthiness.
