Description

The Procurement Analytics team within the Technology and Enterprise Solutions organization is actively searching for a highly motivated Analyst or Senior Analyst to join the team. This position provides analytical support and insights to Enterprise Procurement, aimed at generating value from Liberty Mutual's supplier relationships. You will play a vital role in framing and answering operational and strategic questions for senior management and executive leadership. The ideal candidate will possess advanced analytical abilities and will work collaboratively, independently, and manage projects of varying complexity.

Responsibilities

Perform analysis and provide recommendations that influence Enterprise Procurement strategies and goals

Present analysis in an understandable and concise manner to effectively influence stakeholders

Stay informed about procurement category market trends and identify drivers for expense-saving opportunities

Lead project workstreams and manage projects of varying complexity

Synthesize and validate large and complex datasets from diverse sources to deliver analytically sound insights that answer simple or complex questions

Develop and produce dashboards to support the assessment and monitoring of operational and expense/spend metrics with minimal guidance

Continually assess the business value and efficiency of tools, processes, and data sources, making suggestions for improvements and collaborating with others for implementation

Assist in maintaining and improving the current reporting infrastructure

Maintain close working relationships with data providers and aligned business partners

Foster the development of teammates by sharing expertise and experience through training or peer reviews

Support an inclusive, equitable, and high-performing culture

Qualifications
  • Analyst: Bachelor's Degree plus a minimum 2 years, typically 3 years of experience, or Master's Degree with no professional experience, or equivalent
  • Senior Analyst: Bachelor's Degree plus a minimum 4 years, typically 5 or more years of experience, or equivalent, is required.
  • Proficient in Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint, and statistical software packages (e.g. SAS, Emblem)
  • Knowledgeable in data query languages and tools (e.g. SQL, DAX, Snowflake, Python, Databricks) required, proficiency in SQL or Python strongly preferred
  • Displays strong research, problem-solving, analytical, critical thinking, influencing, relationship management, and presentation skills
  • Strong business operations knowledge to include understanding the function's value chain and market conditions
  • Solid project management skills as part of implementing business process changes
  • Knowledge of data sources, tools, statistical principles, methodologies, and techniques
  • Knowledge of available data sources, strengths and shortcomings
  • Familiarity with, or strong interest in, applying AI/GenAI tools and intelligent automation to analytical work
