Job description

The Jitterbug Hand Sander Operator is responsible for sanding, smoothing, and preparing parts, components, or finished products using a pneumatic jitterbug sander and other hand‐finishing tools. This position plays a key role in ensuring surfaces meet quality, texture, and finish standards before moving to the next stage of production.

The individual in this role will inspect parts for defects, rough areas, or imperfections and use the jitterbug sander to achieve a consistent, uniform finish. They must follow established work instructions, quality guidelines, and safety procedures while maintaining steady productivity in a fast‐paced environment. Additional responsibilities include cleaning and maintaining sanding equipment, organizing work areas, and reporting any material or equipment issues to supervisors.

The position requires strong attention to detail, good hand‐eye coordination, and the ability to stand, bend, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift
