Jitterbug information

What is a jitterbug?

Jitterbugs are professional dancers or performers skilled in the jitterbug, a lively and energetic swing dance that originated in the United States during the early 20th century. The jitterbug incorporates fast footwork, acrobatic moves, and improvisation, often set to upbeat jazz or swing music. Jitterbug dancers may perform at competitions, social events, or as part of dance troupes, and they often teach classes to others interested in learning the style. The dance is known for its joyful spirit, athleticism, and strong sense of rhythm.
