What is Jewish healthcare?

Jewish healthcare refers to medical care and services delivered in accordance with Jewish values, ethics, and traditions. This may include kosher dietary laws, observance of the Sabbath and holidays, and sensitivity to end-of-life care and rituals as guided by Jewish law (Halacha). Jewish healthcare organizations often provide culturally competent care for Jewish patients, but they serve people of all backgrounds. These organizations may also have chaplains or rabbis on staff to address spiritual needs. The approach ensures that religious beliefs are respected alongside medical treatment.
