Job Description:
Blue Water Thinking is seeking an experienced and dedicated Change Management Specialist to join our team, supporting the Integrated Healthcare Transformation (IHT) initiative at the Department of Veterans Affairs. The primary responsibility of this role is to support the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) in the analysis and evaluation of healthcare program effectiveness, identifying opportunities for improvement and supporting operational execution through change management.
Responsibilities:
  • Performs tasks requiring the knowledge and skills for a multidisciplinary approach to managing change and transition within a healthcare organizations, programs, and projects.
  • Tasks may include developing plans associated with transition management, implementation of major initiatives, communications associated with major initiatives, risk assessment, and organizational transformation and culture change;
  • Supporting and engaging key stakeholders and senior leaders; including identifying and managing anticipated resistance, integrating change management activities into project plan, and evaluating and ensuring user readiness.
  • Defining and measuring success metrics and monitoring change progress.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS).
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting change management assessments and change management strategy.
  • Demonstrated experience creating actionable deliverables, such as a communication plan, roadmap, coaching plan, training plan, or resistance management plan.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for producing reports and engaging stakeholders.
  • MS Office suite skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prosci certification preferred.
  • Experience with the application of Prosci and change management in a union environment preferred.
  • Experience supporting federal healthcare initiatives, especially within the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Eligibility:
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required federal public trust clearance for this role.

Compensation:
Salary for this position is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, location, the candidate's particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies and experience, as well as contract specific affordability and organizational requirements. The proposed salary range for this position is outlined below.
Salary range: $85,000 - $130,000
