What is a JDE Manufacturing job?

JDE Manufacturing jobs refer to roles that involve working with the JD Edwards (JDE) EnterpriseOne Manufacturing software, which is an enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution used to manage and streamline manufacturing operations. Professionals in these roles may work as analysts, consultants, or system administrators, focusing on configuring, maintaining, and optimizing the JDE Manufacturing modules. Their responsibilities often include supporting production planning, managing inventory, and ensuring efficient manufacturing processes using the JDE platform.

How does a JDE Manufacturing professional typically collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth production processes?

JDE Manufacturing professionals frequently work cross-functionally with departments such as procurement, inventory, quality assurance, and IT to maintain efficient production flows. They are responsible for coordinating production schedules, ensuring material availability, and troubleshooting system issues that could impact manufacturing timelines. Effective communication and collaboration are vital, as these professionals often serve as a bridge between manufacturing floor operations and enterprise resource planning teams. Regular meetings, process reviews, and joint problem-solving sessions are common to address production challenges and implement process improvements.

To thrive as a JD Edwards (JDE) Manufacturing Specialist, you need expertise in manufacturing processes, ERP principles, and a solid understanding of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne or World software, typically supported by a relevant degree or equivalent experience. Proficiency in JDE modules (such as Manufacturing Management, Inventory, and Shop Floor Control), SQL, and related certifications are highly valued.
