Job description

Position Summary: As a JCCA Facilities Maintenance Technician (Level 1), you will provide quality services to JCCA's clients and staff while executing high maintenance standards; support basic repairs and maintenance services needed in day-to-day operations of JCCA offices/cottages and grounds.
Responsibilities: Responsible for performing entry-level work related to maintenance, repair and operation of JCCA facilities, equipment and systems, which does not require journey-level experience. Such tasks include, but are not limited to:
• Completing preventive and corrective maintenance tasks in a professional and timely manner; which include, but are not limited to, minor repairs to walls, windows, doors and floors; tidying up work areas; moving furniture, materials, and supplies
• Assisting in keeping JCCA grounds/offices clean and safe by ensuring grounds, amenities, exteriors, and common areas are free from debris and safety hazards
• Creating and prioritizing work orders via the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
• Landscaping responsibilities such as mowing and trimming grass, power-washing walkways, and shoveling dirt/snow
• Diagnosing and repairing equipment failures
• Escalating and partnering with leadership, and outside vendors, to coordinate higher level repairs
• Pickup and delivery of mail, packages, supplies, and other materials throughout JCCA locations using company vehicle
• Maintaining inventory records
• Rotating on-call responsibility for emergency maintenance repairs
• Ensuring walkways, roads, and parking lots are clear and/or salted during inclement weather
• Upholding workplace safety protocols, including current OSHA, MSDS, and COVID-19 standards
• Participating in training workshops and staff meetings, as required
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience using hand and power tools
  • Mechanical and/or electrical experience preferred
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.

License/Certification:
- Driver's License (required); minimal violations
Pay Rate: $20.19 per hour
