Javits Center is considered the busiest convention center in the United States, hosting the world's leading conventions, trade shows, and special events on Manhattan's West Side. These large-scale events have generated billions of dollars in annual economic activity for New York City and New York State, supporting thousands of jobs in and around the facility. Located on 11th Avenue between West 34th Street and West 40th Street, the iconic structure has played a prominent role in New Yorkโ€™s recovery and resurgence, and with a state-of-the-art expansion project recently completed, the venue features more than 850,000 square feet of total exhibition space, two new floors of meeting room space, a rooftop pavilion and terrace, as well as a range of catering, sustainability, and technology services.


Position Summary:


The Creative Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing high-quality visual content and branded marketing materials that support the Javits Centerโ€™s campaigns, events, sales initiatives, website, advertising, experiential marketing, and internal communications. This role requires a strong graphic design and creative production background, with hands-on proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Photoshop, and related design tools.


This position will serve as a key creative contributor within the Marketing Department, translating strategy and business needs into compelling visual assets across digital, print, environmental, and experiential channels. In addition to strong creative skills, the role requires excellent project management ability to manage timelines, coordinate feedback, organize deliverables, and ensure creative projects are completed on time, on brand, and at a high standard.


The compensation for this position is $80,000 annually. Interested candidates must be willing to work full-time onsite at the Javits.


Essential Functions:


  • Develop creative assets for advertising campaigns, sales enablement materials, email marketing, social media, website content, signage, LED walls, kiosks, internal communications, special initiatives, milestone projects, annual reports, external events, industry conferences, and VIP gifting.
  • Maintain brand consistency across all creative deliverables, ensuring materials align with Javits Center visual identity, tone, and quality standards.
  • Create, edit, and adapt graphics, layouts, photography, and visual content using Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign and Photoshop.
  • Oversee the advancement of the photo and video asset libraries by capturing, organizing, editing, and preparing new content for marketing use.
  • Manage creative projects from concept through completion, including briefs, timelines, production schedules, stakeholder reviews, approvals, and final delivery.
  • Coordinate with internal departments, external vendors, printers, media partners, photographers, designers, and production teams to execute creative and marketing deliverables.
  • Maintain project documentation, creative request workflows, asset libraries, and production schedules to improve efficiency.
  • Co-own with IT, website content updates/CMS management, including page updates, image selection, content formatting, SEO tagging, ongoing user experience optimization, and brand consistency.
  • Use Google Analytics and marketing performance data to help evaluate digital content and recommend creative improvements.
  • Partner with Sales to create branded presentations, and promotional campaigns that support revenue-generating opportunities and customer engagement.
  • Measure and report on marketing activities using available performance tools, including Google Analytics and campaign reporting platforms; share updates and recommendations with executives and stakeholders.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, Advertising, or related field
  • 4-6 years of marketing, creative, advertising, experiential marketing, or project management experience.
  • Portfolio required: candidates must submit samples of design and marketing work that demonstrate creative execution across channels. Strong creative background is required, with the ability to design, edit, and manage creative deliverables while maintaining brand standards.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite is required, especially Photoshop and InDesign; experience with Illustrator, Lightroom, Premiere Pro, or related tools is preferred.
  • Strong project management skills with proven ability to manage multiple priorities, stakeholders, deadlines, and deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with CMS platforms and basic website management.
  • Experience with marketing success metrics and Google Analytics.
