Job Description

Responsible for all aspects of application development, support and maintenance for the company's business system environment.  This role will work with the IT leadership team and leaders from other areas of the business to develop and execute an IT application strategy and roadmap that supports the overall business strategy. 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

1. Manages and develops the team responsible for developing and maintaining ERP, non-ERP and Business Intelligence systems.

2. Contributes to the development and execution of IT strategy.

3. Provides strong functional leadership and deep SAP experience.

4. Drives the overall application strategy and technology roadmap by translating business needs into technical requirements and designs solution that meet/exceed business expectations.

5. Determines technical and architectural standards related to software and hardware platforms.

6. Develops business cases for technology related investments.

7. Plans and executes system implementation projects that achieve intended business benefits while minimizing the risk of business disruption.

8. Oversees the daily operation and support of production systems through proactive monitoring, capacity analysis and root cause analysis to identify and implement changes that ensure continuous improvement.

9. Partners with other business leaders to identify, prioritize and implement enhancements to ERP, non-ERP and Business Intelligence systems.

10. Develops and executes a strategy to rationalize the application landscape.

11. Manages department and project budgets.

12. Manages relationships with consulting partners including the development and management of Statements of Work (SOW's)

13. Leads the RFP process for technology related initiatives.

14. Develops and implements policies and procedures to achieve organizational goals.

15. Demonstrates knowledge of software development life cycle, which includes scoping, business process mapping, requirements development, software design/build, testing, data conversion, go-live and post go-live support.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business and/or Management Information Systems

 Experience/Knowledge:

10+ years of progressive IT management experience

Minimum of 7 years of SAP ERP and SAP BI experience

Working knowledge of EDI applications and systems.

Working knowledge of IT functions, principals and standards.

Comprehensive knowledge of administrative and management functions such as project planning, organizing, coordinating, directing, and controlling.

Familiarity with IT general controls and Sarbanes Oxley requirements.

Excellent problem solving, dispute resolution and interpersonal skills.

Strong business and technical aptitude.

Excellent written/oral communications skills including group facilitation, presentation, and communicating across entire spectrum of an organization.

Ability to establish and lead cross-functional teams.

Ability to converse with business unit management and IT management.

Strong process mapping and skills.

Proven leadership and project management abilities.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

MBA

Sitting at workstation approximately 85 percent of work time.  Standing and walking approximately 15 percent of work time.

Must be able to travel 10-20 percent of work time.

Ability to work overtime or occasionally on weekends with short notice.

Typical office environment with shelves overhead and above work surfaces.
