Job description

Interpreter/Translator/Special Projects

Rockmart, GA

General:

Interpreter is responsible for assisting various situations of communication between American staffs and Japanese staffs.

Translator is responsible for translating emails, documents and presentations as requested by top management members and staffs.

Special Projects is responsible for following through on any business requests the President deems necessary.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Serve as interpreter for the president, Japanese staffs and Japanese guests as requested.
  • Serve as translator to translate documents and email conversations for all departments
  • Prepare quarterly associate meeting presentation; including translating president's speech
  • Interpret training for staff members and Japanese staff in the company introductory training
  • Assist Japanese technical staff with any matters concerning their stay in the U.S. including, but not limited to, handle issues with accommodations, personal family issues, relocation of Japanese families and etc.
  • Interpret the communication in the morning meeting.
  • Translate the presentation for customers
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Bachelors degree strongly preferred
  • The ideal candidate will have a native level of fluency in Japanese, and strong English language skills.
  • Previous experience in a production environment, particularly in the automotive industry is highly desired.
  • Additional desired skills and experience include data entry, report writing, strong communications skills, and high levels of ability in Excel, PowerPoint and other software programs.
