Position Summary

This position supports communication between Japanese expatriates and local employees while providing administrative and data support in a manufacturing environment. This position combines interpretation, translation, reporting, and administrative responsibilities to help ensure efficient daily operations.


Essential Responsibilities

Translation & Interpretation

  • Provide Japanese-English interpretation during meetings and daily operations.
  • Translate technical, business, and general documents.
  • Assist Japanese expatriates with relocation and daily life support, including government documentation, housing, banking, medical appointments, and other administrative needs.
  • Support visitors, meetings, and company events requiring bilingual communication.

Administrative & Data Support

  • Prepare and maintain production, inventory, quality, and operational reports.
  • Perform data entry, verify data accuracy, and maintain records.
  • Assist with inventory, budgeting, and general administrative reporting.
  • Organize and maintain company documents and files.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and other administrative projects as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Fluent in both Japanese and English (spoken and written).
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Experience with ERP systems is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.


Preferred Experience

  • Previous experience in translation and interpretation.
  • Administrative or reporting experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
