Job Title: Technical Sales Engineer - Automation & Robotics
Position available in: Elk Grove Village, IL

Summary: This is a hybrid engineering and customer-facing role focused on developing technical proposals and solutions for advanced automation systems. The role partners with customers and internal teams to define scope, develop pricing, and drive North American sales efforts.
Compensation & Benefits:

Education & Experience:

Related experience may include:
  • Automated systems such as machine tools, robotic cells, assembly fixtures, jigs, or tooling
  • Factory automation, assembly systems, or machine manufacturing
  • Manufacturing applications with composite materials (thermoset or thermoplastic)
  • Experience developing or supporting technical proposals, quotations, or customer solutions is strongly preferred

Qualifications:
  • Ability to evaluate complex technical requirements and shape solutions that align with customer business objectives
  • Experience creating and presenting sales proposals
  • Strong business acumen and commercial awareness.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple proposals simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Personable and outgoing; comfortable speaking in front of groups of people
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, structured proposals and customer-facing materials
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% and ability to obtain a valid US passport

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead development of technical and commercial proposals, including scope definition, solution design, and pricing
  • Collaborate with engineering, project management, and production teams to develop solutions aligned with customer requirements
  • Work with sales teams to understand customer needs and support proposal development
  • Present and communicate proposed solutions to customers and internal stakeholders
  • Support the full sales lifecycle from initial engagement through proposal submission
