About the Role:

As a Quick Upgrade Captain at JSX,you'llbe at the controls of one of the most innovative aviation experiences in the industry. Your mission is tooperateouraircraftsafely, efficiently, and in full compliance with all regulations, all while delivering exceptional service to every flight. With typical schedules averaging 3-5 legs per day over 14-16 daysper month, we prioritize work-life balance and strive to return you to your home base every night.

A Day in the Life:

Pre-Flight Preparation:

  • Your day begins one hour prior to departure, giving you ample time to:

  • Review key flight details inTraxxall, including maintenance status, NOTAMs, fuel loads, weather conditions, and routing.

  • Collaborate with the Captain to discuss departure and arrival strategies, including diversion planning if needed.

  • Perform all required pre-flight checks, safety procedures, and flows to ensure theaircraftis clear.

In-Flight Operations:

  • Operating theaircraftin full compliance with FAA regulations, JSX SOPs, and industry safety standards.

  • Maintain real-time communication with Mission Control (Dispatch), Ground Operations, ATC, and your Flight Attendant.

  • Serve as the secondary voice to theCaptainin decision-making, ready to act quickly and confidently in dynamic conditions.

Post-Flight Duties:

  • Assistwith quick turn tasks, including light cabin tidying: clean tray tables, cross seatbelts, collect trash, and support the Flight Attendant as needed to ensure an on-time departure.

  • Log any maintenance inTraxxalland communicate critical updates to Mission Control

Additionalresponsibilities include:

  • Participating in recurrent training and performance evaluations tomaintainproficiencyand grow in your career.

  • Step in toassistwith baggage handling or other duties at smaller airports where ground support is limited.

  • Consistently represent JSX with the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and Customer, both in and out of the flight deck.

    Required Experience:

    • High School Diploma/GED

    • Minimum 2500 fixed-wing total flight hours

    • Minimum 500 multi-engine hours

    • Minimum 500 turbine hours

    • Minimum100 hourswithin the last 12 months

    • No FAA violations/accidents/incidents/suspensions

    • Nosignificanttraining/check ride failures

    Preferred Experience:

    • 3000+ total time

    • 1000+ multi-engine hours

    • Embraer 135/145 experience

    Skill, Licenses, & Certifications:

    • Valid FAA Pilot Certificateappropriate totheaircraftand operatingposition held.

    • Current and valid Driver's license and Passport

    • Current and valid FAA First Class Medical Certificate

    • Current and valid ATP or Commercial Multi-Engine Certificate

    • Current and valid FCC Radio Operator's Permit

    This position requires that applicants be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. JSX is unable to provide current or future sponsorship of an employment-based visa (e.g., H-1B, TN, or similar).

    Pay & Perks:

    Compensation throughout training is $150.00 (+per diem) daily, which goes up to $259.00 (+ per diem) daily on the line. You are guaranteed a 14-day minimum per month salary. Foradditionalpay, you are eligible for Productivity Pay and quarterly bonuses.

    • Health Benefits:New Crewmember's become eligible for coverage on the 1st of the month following the start date, with medical plans beginning at just $110/month. 100% employer-paid dental & vision, plus up to $2,100 annually for HSA contribution. Short-term and long-term disability coverage at no cost.

    • Travel Benefits:Enjoy free non-revenue standby travel on JSX, plus deeply discounted standby travel on other major domestic & international airlines for you and yourqualifying immediatefamily.
