We are looking for Java Development Lead for our client in New York City, NY

Job Title: Java Development Lead

Job Location: New York City, NY

Job Type: Contract

Job Overview:

Pay Range: $55hr - $60hr

Requirement/Must Have:

  • 8+ years of experience in Java development, preferably in fintech, payments, or platform services.
  • Strong knowledge of Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, and event-driven architecture.
  • Experience with payment gateways, transaction processing, or digital wallets.
  • Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
  • Familiarity with message brokers (e.g., Kafka) and API security (OAuth2, JWT).
  • Ability to manage stakeholders and monitor server performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust Java-based backend services and APIs for platform and payment processing systems.
  • Implement secure and scalable solutions for transaction processing, payment gateways, and service orchestration.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Identify internal and external dependencies.
  • Lead and strategize deployments of applications.
  • Integrate with third-party payment providers, banking APIs, and internal microservices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, ensuring minimal downtime and high reliability.
  • Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and performance tuning.
