Job Title: IT Systems Engineer
Work Location: MacDill AFB, Tampa, FL, VA
Position Classification: Full Time Security Clearance: Active TOP SECRET clearance w/ SCI Eligibility Responsibilities Full-time member of the USSOCOM J5-DSC performing a broad range of IT support activities. Responsible for performing all required configurations of workstations (to include administration rights) in support of DSC events and daily DSC staff activities. This includes, but is not limited to, all laptops, desktops, servers, switches, printers, phones, and any other electronic equipment, ensuring that all equipment is operational prior to starting all events and provide support for the resolution of all incidents during events.
Duties Include
• Support all the AV/VTC systems within the DSC. • Ensure that all AV/VTC equipment operational capabilities are tested prior to an event and provide dedicated set up, operations, and troubleshooting all AV/VTC devices. • Schedule all SVTCs and support the recording of all events.
• Coordinate with SOCOM/J6 to ensure DSC hardware and software assets are kept up to date in accordance with SOCOM/J6 directives and to provide commonly used parts to repair or replace expendable parts as needed. Provide a list of J6/manufacture-recommended parts and replacement costs and ensure proper disposal of expended items. • Assist government in maintaining accountability of all required DSC IT assets.
• Perform all required functions/configurations (related to Active Directory) of SOCOM SIE DSC shared network drives (to include administration rights) in support of DSC events and daily DSC staff activities. This includes, but is not limited to, DSC personnel accounts, guest accounts, and any permissions required by other users in support of DSC events and daily activities.
• Ensure security procedures and regulations are strictly adhered to in the processing of classified materials and safeguard classified or sensitive related information and or files.
