Join Our Henderson Team as a Nocturnist Hospital Medicine Physician – A Role Designed for You

We are hiring for a nocturnist position. A nocturnist role requires working exclusively overnight shifts. Candidates must be comfortable with a nocturnal schedule and possess the ability to deliver exceptional patient care during nighttime hours.

Local Team Collaboration:

  • Join our closely knit, established team of 8 physicians supported by a Program Coordinator.
  • The hospital is licensed for 205 acute care beds, 52 med surg, and 12 PCU beds.
  • We have a stable team that is steadily expanding. We are looking to add more clinicians to our growing practice.
  • Maria Parham Hospital is a Duke LifePoint Healthcare system and is a well-established hospital in Henderson, NC. 
  • A wide range of services is available, including OB/GYN, Pulmonology, cardiology, critical care, ortho, and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work well in a team-based environment, focusing on collaboration and patient-centered care.
  • H1B and J1 candidates are invited to apply; access to Sound’s in-house visa specialists, as well as our licensing and credentialing experts; all required filing fees for the visa are paid, and services are covered

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide hospitalist care in an open ICU environment and PCU with intensivist coverage during the day, staffed by physician nocturnists with intensivist consult support for coverage at night.
  • Procedures are not required.
  • Participate in the code team, with certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
  • Focus on delivering high-quality care while benefiting from a flexible schedule, allowing for time with family, friends, and personal interests.
  • Work closely with hospital colleagues across departments, serving on committees and contributing to hospital-wide initiatives like reducing hospital-acquired infections (HAIs).

Scheduling:

  • Nocturnist hours are 7 p.m.- 7 a.m., 7-days-on, 7-days-off with schedule flexibility.
