Job description

Bally’s Lake Tahoe Casino Resort

This position is offered as part of the J1 Exchange Visitor Program and is intended to provide participants with structured, handson experience in the U.S. hospitality and food & beverage industry while supporting cultural exchange.

The J1 participant will assist in serving food and beverage products to guests, coordinating daily service activities with team members, and following established departmental and facility procedures. Under direct supervision, the participant will gain practical exposure to U.S. service standards, operational practices, and workplace culture while contributing to a highquality guest experience.

This role is temporary in nature and does not represent permanent employment.

Program Purpose & Learning Objectives

Through this exchange experience, participants will:

  • Gain practical training in U.S. hospitality and food & beverage operations
  • Learn U.S. customer service expectations and workplace standards
  • Develop communication, teamwork, and timemanagement skills
  • Experience American workplace culture while sharing international perspectives with coworkers and guests
  • Enhance professional skills applicable to future careers in hospitality or customer service fields

Training Responsibilities (Under Supervision)
  • Prepare and serve beverages to guests in accordance with established recipes, procedures, and individualized requests, under the guidance of experienced staff.
  • Deliver Bally’s “Legendary Service” by maintaining a guestfocused attitude and engaging courteously with all customers.
  • Assist guests with the selection and purchase of specialty beverages, including coffee offerings.
  • Learn to accurately operate pointofsale systems and process payments when assigned, including cash and credit transactions.
  • Follow all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of service areas, seating areas, and storage spaces.
  • Monitor stock levels and assist with replenishment of service items as needed.
  • Become knowledgeable about café offerings and clearly explain products and services to guests.
  • Adhere to Bally’s Purpose and Values model at all times.
  • Complete other trainingrelated duties as assigned by management to support learning objectives.
General Expectations
  • Must maintain valid J1 Exchange Visitor status throughout the program
  • Must comply with all Bally’s policies, safety standards, and sponsor guidelines
  • Regular attendance and punctuality are required
  • Position is supervised and nonmanagerial
        Physical Requirements

        Participants may be required to stand and walk for extended periods and perform activities such as bending, reaching, lifting up to 35 pounds, and carrying service items.
