Job description

We're looking for an experienced Desktop Support Technician to support our internal users and systems. This role requires someone who can troubleshoot independently, manage their workload, and handle both day-to-day support and more complex issues without constant direction.
You'll be working in a structured, in-house environment with standardized tools and processes, where consistency and follow-through matter.
Responsibilities
  • Provide support for desktops, laptops, and standard business applications
  • Troubleshoot issues with Windows 11, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and network connectivity
  • Manage onboarding and offboarding of employees, including account provisioning/deprovisioning, hardware setup/collection, and access control
  • Set up and configure user workstations, accounts, and system access
  • Support email, printing, file access, and phone systems
  • Use Ivanti Neurons for endpoint imaging, patching, and device management
  • Support and troubleshoot systems protected by Barracuda (email/web security)
  • Track and document issues to ensure timely resolution
  • Maintain hardware and software inventory
  • Resolve hardware and software issues, including replacements and repairs
  • Escalate issues as needed and work with Systems Administrators on resolution
  • Assist with system updates, deployments, and internal IT projects
  • Follow company policies related to security, access, and acceptable use
Requirements
  • 5+ years of IT support experience in a business environment
  • Strong working knowledge of Windows 11, Microsoft Office, and Active Directory
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 administration
  • Experience using endpoint management tools (Ivanti or similar) for imaging and patching
  • Experience with email or network security platforms (Barracuda or similar)
  • Understanding of basic networking (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP)
  • Experience handling user onboarding/offboarding and access management
  • Diagnoses issues, identifies solutions, and drives resolution end to end
  • Clear communication and solid documentation skills
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
