The selected candidate will be responsible for the administration and maintenance of multiple AWS accounts within the state AWS infrastructure.
AWS Administrator Key Responsibilities
  • Establish configuration,compliance, and audit program to effectively manage AWS accounts andresources.
  • Review cloud resources andcost drivers, computer, storage, network, managed services, database andservice licenses, marketplace, and accounts.
  • As part of our ManagedServices offering for clients; monitor rightsizing, elasticity, storageoptimization, and identify unused resources.
  • Maintain cloud-based serverspatching vulnerabilities, backup/restore operations, provision newservers, configure firewalls, configure monitoring systems.
  • Manage accountcontainerization and tagging for internal cost centers and end clientbilling feeds.
  • Monitor cost allocations,security compliance, budgets and set alerts across accounts, workloads,and users.
  • Use AWS Config to monitor andtrack resource configuration.
  • Set standards for resourceconfigurations, evaluate configuration compliance, and risk, and remediateconfiguration drift.
  • Use AWS CloudTrail forcompliance audits by recording and storing event logs for actions madewithin AWS accounts.
  • Set controls to monitor toassure compliance.

Requirements
AWS Administrator Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computerscience or a related field from an accredited college or university.
  • 8+ Years of CloudAdministration Experience.
  • Excellent technical knowledgeof IT Infrastructure, including switches, routers, wireless access points,server operating systems and hardware, storage arrays, and securityapplications.
  • Strong system administrationexperience in Windows and Linux environments.
  • Experience with automationusing an established framework (Puppet, Chef, Ansible, etc.).
  • Strong technical knowledge ofcurrent protocols, operating systems, and standards.
  • Able to read and understandtechnical manuals and procedural documentation.
  • Experience documenting andmaintaining configuration item information in ServiceNow or other ITSMplatforms to support IT Asset Management functions.
  • Experience in public cloudenvironments, including AWS and/or Azure.
  • Experience working in anITIL-driven environment and knowledge of ITIL principles and processes.
  • Experience with monitoringtools, middleware software and ITSM tools a plus.
