Unit Context
ITSDW Front Office

The ITS Digital Workplace department strives to deliver a friction-free digital workplace experience for WBG personnel. It includes delivery of modern productivity and collaboration solutions, provisioning and management of laptop and mobile devices, and audio visual and videoconferencing solutions to over 30,000 users. The department is also responsible for managing the central Heplpdesk, onsite support, deployments, and sustained adoption.
Background & General Description
The IT Value Management Analyst will be a member of the ITSDW Front Office team and will assist the Department management team with value management analysis and decision making.
Duties and Accountabilities
Role purpose:

The role will support the IT budget, investment, and value management, with a focus on administrative (run/operations) and cloud spend. It will include financial analysis, monitoring, and reporting to strengthen transparency, accountability, and decision-making across the ITSDW portfolio.
This role will collaborate with Advisory teams, PMO colleagues, delivery teams, and budget teams to support budget execution, performance monitoring, and governance processes. The selected candidate will support the current PMO team with a focus on administrative budget planning, forecasting and tracking.
IT Investment Analysis and Alignment
โ€ข Support planning, execution, and monitoring of IT operational budgets, including administrative/run and cloud budgets
โ€ข Track operational budget execution, forecasts, burn rates, and variances, and highlight risks, issues, and adjustments
โ€ข Support annual planning, re-baselining, and funding cycles, including cloud consumption forecasting and run-cost estimates
โ€ข Ensure accuracy and consistency of financial and budget data across systems and reports
โ€ข Coordinate with delivery teams to reconcile spend, commitments, forecasts, and actuals
โ€ข Assist in the preparation of funding requests, and decision materials, including cost and value inputs
Performance Measurement & Monitoring
โ€ข Support development and maintenance of KPIs, dashboards, and periodic reporting related to spend, value, and performance
โ€ข Analyze and flag misalignment between financial data, delivery performance/consumption
โ€ข Support agile transformation for the department
Cost Optimization and Collaboration
โ€ข Support IT investment analysis by linking cost, budget, and value data - including cloud and administrative cost components - to approved initiatives and portfolios
โ€ข Identify and analyze cost optimization and efficiency opportunities.
Selection Criteria
โ€ข Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree with 2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience (for example, in the IT field: Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 1 year of related work experience).
โ€ข Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex budget concepts in clear, accessible language.
โ€ข Able to take personal ownership and accountability to meet deadlines and achieve agreed-upon results and has the personal organization to do so.
โ€ข 2+ years of experience in budget management, financial analysis, or IT financial management.
โ€ข Strong analytical skills, including forecasting and variance analysis.
โ€ข Ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders and delivery teams.
โ€ข High attention to detail and demonstrated data quality discipline.
โ€ข Proficiency with SAP, Excel and reporting tools such as Power BI (or equivalent).
Recommended Certifications:
โ€ข SAFe Lean Portfolio Management (LPM) or Technology Business Management (TBM)
