IT Technician

Location: Centennial, CO 80112
Employment Type: Full-Time
Compensation: $25.00-$28.00 per hour, DOE


Job Summary

VPI Compounding Pharmacy is looking for a motivated IT Technician to support daily technology needs across the company. This role will assist with computers, printers, user access, internal systems, hardware setup, inventory tracking, cybersecurity support, and HIPAA-related IT security. We are looking for someone who is proactive, organized, and able to explain technical information in a clear and simple way to employees who may not be familiar with IT terminology.


Key Responsibilities

  • Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot computers, printers, mobile devices, and other IT equipment.
  • Assist with assigning, updating, and removing user access across company systems.
  • Triage, track, and resolve IT support tickets while providing clear communication to internal staff and external portal users.
  • Support internal portal needs and help troubleshoot user issues.
  • Maintain accurate IT inventory records for hardware, software, and assigned equipment.
  • Run or repair established IT scripts for routine tasks and assist with standard software installations and endpoint management.
  • Support cybersecurity practices by ensuring user workstations, accounts, and computer use follow basic company cybersecurity policies and HIPAA standards.
  • Be willing to explore responsible uses of AI tools to assist with IT responsibilities, troubleshooting, and process improvement.
  • Explain technical issues clearly to employees with varying levels of technical experience.


Qualifications

  • Associate's/Bachelor's degree in a Computer Science-related field, or equivalent professional experience in IT support, Cybersecurity, System Administration, or DevOps preferred.
  • Basic experience with IT hardware, computers, printers, software, and troubleshooting preferred.
  • Interest or experience with AI tools, cybersecurity, automation, endpoint management, or process improvement preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to support employees with different levels of technical knowledge.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, follow-through, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work well with multiple departments in a professional healthcare setting.

Preferred Experience

  • Printer and computer troubleshooting
  • Google Workspace administration
  • Endpoint management
  • Basic network troubleshooting
  • Cybersecurity or HIPAA security support
  • AI tools or automation tools
  • Firewall/router experience

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to sit or work at a computer for extended periods.
  • Must be comfortable being on your feet for portions of the day.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 25+ lbs.
  • Occasional bending, stooping, reaching, or climbing may be needed for hardware setup or maintenance.
