Job description

Internship Overview
As an IT Technician Intern at Summit Agricultural Group, you will gain exposure in functional areas and design, testing and troubleshooting software applications, and setting up and implementing cloud-based software. Additional responsibilities include assisting the IT Department in system changes and enhancements, providing technical support for operation improvements, documenting system changes, and training users. You will also work with our IT Coordinator to review and test security policies, implement best practices, and review and update documentation and existing protocols.
Responsibilities
  • Support existing applications and infrastructure by responding to incidents, problems, and service requests, including:
    • Windows environment administration (Azure/Office 365,
      SharePoint, device and server admin, basic networking)
    • Basic hardware and network troubleshooting
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with employees of varying technical backgrounds to resolve IT requests.
  • Test and help implement security policies and IT best-practice procedures and maintain up-to-date documentation.
  • Support departmental internal controls and regulatory compliance efforts.
  • Deliver a final presentation to Summit's management team summarizing experiences, results, and accomplishments from the internship.

Requirements
  • Experience in PC/LAN and Web-based computing environment or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly entrepreneurial environment.
  • High level of interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Motivated self-starter with ability to work independently.
  • Proficient in Word and Excel.
