Job description

IT Systems Analyst

Location: Nellis AFB, Nevada

Clearance Required: TS/SCI

Position Summary

The IT Systems Analyst at Nellis AFB, Nevada provides enterpriselevel systems administration, hostbased security implementation, and missionfocused IT support for Air Force operations. This role is responsible for maintaining secure, resilient computing environments, with emphasis on Windows systems administration, Linux support, and McAfee Host Based Security System (HBSS) deployment across operational platforms. The analyst ensures systems remain compliant, available, and optimized to support Air Force ISR and C4ISR mission requirements.

Core Responsibilities

  • Systems Administration - Independently manage daily administration tasks with direct operational impact.
  • OS & Software Management - Install, configure, and maintain Windows and Linux operating systems and missionessential software.
  • Technical Troubleshooting - Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and systemlevel issues in fastpaced operational environments.
  • Cybersecurity Compliance - Work closely with cybersecurity teams to ensure adherence to DoD IA and security requirements.
  • Account & System Setup - Configure and maintain customerfurnished IT systems, user accounts, and access controls.
  • User Support - Provide system operation, restoration, and configuration assistance to end users.
  • Documentation - Develop and maintain operational procedures, configuration guides, and system documentation.
  • Information Assurance - Apply stringent IA policies during C4ISR service delivery and mission support.
  • Configuration Management - Manage system configurations and recommend upgrades to ADP equipment.
  • Operational Support - Participate in special projects, operational exercises, and periodic shift work.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of related experience OR a Master's Degree with 8 years of related experience. (Additional related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Must have Windows and Linux systems administration.
  • Security+ certification (DoD 8570 IAT Level II).
  • Experience supporting Air Force ISR operations and related systems.
  • Current TS/SCI clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • AWS Solutions Architect training.
  • Prior experience supporting Air Force ISR units.
  • Network+ and Server+ certifications.
