The Mannik & Smith Group, Inc. Our talented staff of more than 450+ professionals deliver integrated planning, design, engineering and construction solutions.
Due to MSG's continued growth, a new opening is available for an IT Systems Administrator to assist with our company. As an IT System Administrator, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the organization's IT infrastructure. This includes hardware, software, networks, and other related systems. You will ensure the smooth operation of all IT systems, providing technical support to users and collaborating with other IT professionals to implement and optimize IT solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software components of the IT infrastructure, including servers, desktops, laptops, printers, routers, switches, and other peripherals.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high levels of availability and reliability.
  • Perform regular system backups and implement disaster recovery plans to minimize downtime in case of system failures.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in accordance with security policies and procedures.
  • Provide technical support and training to engineering staff, assisting them with software installations, configurations, and usage.
  • Collaborate with other IT team members and departments to design and implement IT projects and initiatives.


Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field.
  • 2+ years of relative work experience 
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft365 and desktop operating systems.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
