We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Subcontractor & Procurement Specialist to join our Business Operations team. This role will report to the Direct of Contracts with interactions with the CFO and President/CEO as well as with other business leaders. It is ideal for a high-energy individual with strong interpersonal skills, extraordinary drive and attention to detail and accuracy. The responsibilities and seniority of the position can be scoped to meet the capabilities of the right candidate.

The position is based out of our Arlington, VA, office (full-time in person).

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders to understand business strategy and risk tolerances
  • Manage end-to-end procure-to-pay for vendors and subcontractors: competitive sourcing, evaluation, negotiation, documentation of rationale for source selections, contract/subcontract issuance, and receipt/acceptance coordination.
  • Draft Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), Requests for Proposal/Requests for Quotes (RFP/RFQ), teaming agreements, subcontracts, and commercial agreements in accordance with applicable RFP/RFQ, prime contract flow downs, business strategy, and applicable policies and procedures (e.g., CMMC, security).
  • Lead negotiations with potential business partners based on coordinated business strategy and company risk tolerances.
  • Responsible for subcontract management, compliance, and close out
  • Manage vendor and subcontractor performance metrics.
  • Perform market research, supplier risk analysis, and recommend continuous improvements to procurement strategies, reporting, and operational efficiency.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to internal and external stakeholders, assessing and managing vendor and subcontractor risks and providing solution-oriented strategic advice

Qualified candidates should have:

  • 5-10 years’ relevant experience in procurement, subcontract administration, and/or contract management
  • Proficient in negotiating contracts subject to federal government regulations to include the FAR and DFARs
  • Ability to multitask and set priorities in a deadline-oriented, highly matrixed environment across several projects and teams
  • Experience working with suppliers and
