Genova Technologies has immediate openings for Embedded Software Developers for an exciting, long-term project in Cedar Rapids, IA.
What will you do?
This role will assist in the development of proof-of-concept projects that integrate emerging technologies on embedded devices. The engineer will work within an Agile team to develop and demonstrate the projects. Work must be completed at our Cedar Rapids, IA office.
Specific responsibilities include:
β€’ Developing, debugging, and demonstrating software for proof-of-concept projects
β€’ Documenting key project information, including instructions for replicating demos and capturing lessons learned
β€’ Collaborating with an existing Agile team, focusing on strategies that lead to continuous improvement efforts.
What do you need?
The ideal candidate for this position will have:
β€’ 4 year degree in Computer Science, Software Development, or similar field
β€’ 2 - 10 years of experience developing using C++
β€’ Some experience using C in an embedded environment
β€’ Some experience with Object Oriented Programming
β€’ Experience working in an Agile team
β€’ The ability to take initiative and complete tasks as assigned.
Skills we consider a plus include:
β€’ Familiarity with AI agents, skill definition, or MCP
β€’ Experience developing in the Agriculture sector or related market
β€’ Experience working containerization
β€’ Some Qt/QML experience
β€’ Model-Based Software Development experience (e.g. MATLAB, Simulink).
