 IT Project Manager Responsibilities:Portfolio Management
  • Maintain and manage the overall digital and IT project portfolio.
  • Ensure alignment of project priorities with business objectives, site roadmaps, and strategic initiatives.
  • Provide visibility into project status, resource allocation, risks, and dependencies across the portfolio.
  • Support portfolio planning and prioritization activities.
Project Leadership & ExecutionFor assigned projects, serve as the primary project management lead and partner closely with business and IT stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.
  • Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of assigned IT projects.
  • Manage projects such as:
    • IT application development and deployments
    • Corporate IT integrations
    • Infrastructure and systems implementations
    • Instrument and computerized system validation initiatives
    • Digital transformation projects
  • Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and success criteria.
  • Establish project governance structures, communication plans, and stakeholder engagement strategies.
  • Define and document roles, responsibilities, and workstream ownership.
Project Controls & Reporting
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and integrated project plans.
  • Manage RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, and Decisions) and ensure timely resolution of project challenges.
  • Track and manage:
    • Project risks and mitigation plans
    • Issues and escalation paths
    • Cross-project dependencies
    • Resource allocation and leveling
    • Key milestones and deliverables
  • Prepare and deliver regular project status reports, dashboards, and executive updates.
  • Monitor project performance and proactively identify opportunities for improvement.
Stakeholder Management
  • Drive communication and collaboration among business, IT, quality, validation, engineering, and vendor teams.
  • Facilitate project meetings, steering committee reviews, and decision-making sessions.
  • Ensure stakeholders are informed of project progress, risks, impacts, and key decisions.
  • Build strong working relationships across all levels of the organization.
Financial & Resource Management
  • Develop project budgets, cost estimates, and resource plans.
  • Track project expenditures and ensure alignment with approved budgets.
  • Forecast resource requirements and identify potential constraints.
  • Ensure financial reporting is accurate and up to date.
Project Delivery
  • Ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with defined quality standards.
  • Monitor project execution to ensure adherence to governance, compliance, and organizational standards.
  • Support change management activities associated with project implementation and adoption.
  • Drive continuous improvement in project management processes, tools, and methodologies.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience managing IT projects in a complex business environment.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple concurrent projects and priorities.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Experience developing and maintaining project schedules, RAID logs, budgets, and status reporting.
  • Proven ability to manage stakeholders across business and technical teams.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, facilitation, and organizational skills.
  • Strong problem-solving, risk management, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and project management platforms.
Preferred
  • PMP, PgMP, CAPM, Agile, Scrum Master, or equivalent project management certification.
  • Experience within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences, manufacturing, or regulated environments.
  • Familiarity with computerized system validation (CSV), GxP systems, and data integrity requirements.
  • Experience managing application implementations, system integrations, infrastructure projects, or digital transformation initiatives.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams including IT, Quality, Validation, Engineering, and Operations.
