Are you someone who likes being the person people count on? Are you looking for a role where you can help keep real operations running - networks, wireless, cameras, and the systems behind a high-performing business?
Kirby Risk is hiring an IT Systems Administrator stationed at our new Distribution Center in the W 81st Street area of Indianapolis, supporting our Kirby Risk Indianapolis regional facilities.

In this role, you'll support technology across the Indianapolis regional area while owning the systems that keep the Distribution Center itself moving. The systems you maintain are what let employees stay productive and deliver for our customers.
You'll:

  • Support the day-to-day technology including wired and wireless networks, surveillance/camera systems, and the RF/wireless infrastructure used across our sites
  • Provide secondary support for the Distribution Center's automated inventory and material-handling systems, partnering with onsite system owners to keep operations running
  • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot end-user devices (laptops, desktops, printers, peripherals), servers, and local network hardware such as switches and routers
  • Administer and support operating systems (e.g., Windows Server, Linux), business applications, and Microsoft 365
  • Apply patches and support backup, recovery, and security best practices to safeguard company data
  • Help manage security-awareness programs and monitor emerging cyber threats to stay current with industry threat intelligence
  • Use IT department ticketing system to manage and resolve user requests across a range of technical needs
  • Analyze computer systems and networks to ensure effectiveness and efficiency, and report on system performance, process improvements, and helpdesk activity
  • Partner with IT team, vendors, and other business units to deploy, upgrade, and maintain systems
  • Facilitate disaster recovery, executing recovery procedures to restore and sustain critical systems during outages to minimize downtime to operations

What Makes You a Great Fit
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field and/or 4 years of relevant experience
  • Customer-first mindset with the drive to make a measurable impact on the operation you support
  • Hands-on familiarity with IT support, networking, troubleshooting, and tools such as Active Directory, SCCM, Intune, Entra, DHCP, Microsoft Office, Azure, and Exchange
  • Critical thinker, problem solver, quick learner
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly detail-oriented, organizational skills (inventory, projects, tickets)
  • Composed under pressure, self-sufficient, ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines
  • CompTIA A+ certification (or demonstrated equivalent skills) required; Cisco CCNA, CompTIA Server+, Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate preferred
  • Experience with Cisco Meraki, Webex Calling, NinjaOne preferred

Onsite role that must have authorization to work in the United States, does not have sponsorship
What to Expect in This Role
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, carry up to 50 lbs.
