Job Summary
The Team Leader, IT is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the IT team, ensuring the availability, security, and performance of the resort's IT infrastuecture. This role supervises support activities, coordinates service delivery, provides advanced troubleshooting, and works closely with the Assistant Manager, IT and the Director, IT to maintain and improve IT assistance across the resort.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to IT staff while fostering a collaborative, customer-focused workplace
  • Assign work priorities, monitor workloads, and ensure outstanding service requests are resolved within established service levels
  • Oversee the daily performance, availability, and reliability of computer systems, network resources, and end-user technology
  • Support the integrity, security, and effectiveness of all information systems through established systems management practices
  • Analyze technical issues, perform diagnostics, and resolve complex hardware, software, and network problems while providing escalation support to the team
  • Review recurring issues and implement process improvements to enhance system reliability
  • Install, configure, maintain, and perform minor repairs to computer hardware, software, peripheral equipment, and mobile devices
  • Coordinate the setup of equipment for employees, ensuring proper installation of hardware, operating systems, software, network connectivity, and peripheral devices
  • Ensure IT assets are properly maintained, secured, inventoried, and utilized in accordance with company policies
  • Maintain accurate records of support requests, system changes, installations, maintenance activities, and corrective actions
  • Evaluate hardware and software solutions and recommend upgrades or improvements that support business objectives
  • Collaborate with department leaders and end users to identify technology requirements and recommend system enhancements or modifications
  • Participate in planning, implementing, and supervising IT projects, system upgrades, and technology initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, cybersecurity standards, and data protection requirements
  • Develop, maintain, and deliver user training, technical documentation, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Coordinate vendor support for hardware repairs, warranty services, and software issues, ensuring timely resolution
  • Participate in departmental meetings, conduct team briefings, and communicate operational updates and priorities
  • Provide after-hours and on-call support as required
  • Perform additional responsibilities, as assigned by the Assistant Manager, IT

Skills, Experience, & Educational Requirements
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive IT support experience, including previous supervisory responsibilities preferred
  • Previous experience within a hospitality environment preferred
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, manage competing deadlines, and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Flexible schedule with the willingness to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and participate in an on-call rotation as operational needs require

Physical Requirements
The ideal candidate must be able to perform all physical requirements of the job in a safe manner, with or without reasonable accommodation. Physical requirements include, but are not limited to:
  • Constantly operating a computer and other office productivity machinery
  • Standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, and bending in an operational environment for extended periods
  • Frequent bending, twisting, stooping, reaching, and pulling
  • Lifting and carrying of loads weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Working in outdoor environments, including high altitudes, that may present extreme weather conditions such as snow, ice, rain, heat, wind, etc.
