Job Summary:
Supermicro team is seeking a IT Network Engineer to support daily operations of high-performance networking infrastructure within AI lab and data center environments. This role focuses on rack-level deployment, cabling, switch configuration support, and troubleshooting connectivity for GPU clusters and storage systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Rack & stack network switches (10G/25G/100G/200G/400G Ethernet)
- Install and label fiber (QSFP, OSFP, DAC/AOC)
- Configure switch ports (VLAN, trunk, access mode)
- Support spine-leaf network deployments
- Troubleshoot Layer 1-Layer 3 connectivity issues
- Perform link validation (iperf, ping, basic throughput testing)
- Support MLAG / LACP configuration under guidance
- Replace failed optics, cables, or line cards
- Monitor network health dashboards
- Document lab topology and port mappings
- Support GPU server connectivity and NIC validation
Qualifications:
Salary Range
$86,000 - $100,000
The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
