Job description

Summit Medical Group is recruiting for a Level 2 Network Engineer which is responsible for configuring, supporting, maintaining, and troubleshooting the organization’s network infrastructure. This is a full-time opportunity.

Examples of Duties (List does not include all duties assigned)

  • Must be able to configure, deploy, troubleshoot, and maintain systems as related to the specific IT area of expertise (i.e., networking, switches, routers, firewalls, DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, VPN, Vlans, SDWAN, policies, and routing).
  • Clear document instruction sets and/or maintenance guides for distribution both among other teams within the IT department, as well as to the general staff related to workflows and/or specific use of IT technology.
  • Continue with education related to IT technology in order to acquire and maintain expertise in all related IT fields.
  • Work with other members of the IT Infrastructure team to maintain operational status of all IT technology.
  • Contribute to IT projects related to specific areas of technology. Being responsible for specific tasks related to area of expertise.
  • Provide regular reports on technical areas of responsibility to IT Management.
  • Assist 3rd party relations with vendor, consultant, or support groups as needed for support and/or deployment and implementation of specific IT area of expertise.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely with IT management and/or executive leadership the status, recommendations, specifications, and/or needs related to specific areas of IT area of expertise.
  • Performs related work as assigned.

Education

Minimum Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience in the field of IT. Minimum equivalent experience is defined as 7 years’ experience in the field of IT. Health care experience is a plus.

Experience with applicable technology solutions for both hardware and software to include: Fortigate, Meraki, switches, firewalls, DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, VPN, Vlans, SDWAN, policies, routing, etc.
