Under the IT Manager's general direction, the IT Systems Administrator oversees support, configuration, and maintenance of application and storage servers, network infrastructure, and telecommunications equipment.

Major Responsibilities/Activities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and implement server maintenance and upgrades both software and hardware.
  • Collaborate with IT Manager to ensure smooth and reliable operation of software and systems for fulfilling business objectives and processes.

  • Conduct research on software and systems products to justify recommendations and to support purchasing efforts.
  • Monitor and test system performance; prepare and deliver system performance statistics and reports.
  • Create and maintain documentation as it relates to system configuration, mapping, processes and service records.
  • Maintain all server hardware and equipment.
  • Recommend, schedule, and perform server upgrades and repairs.
  • Support development and implementation of infrastructure projects and new technology installations.
  • Routine systems administration and maintenance including user access.
  • Perform system backups and recovery. Maintains data files and monitors system configuration to ensure data integrity.
  • Coordinates and communicates IT Systems activities with the IT Manager.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Preference is given to qualified Santa Ana Tribal Members.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field or an equivalent mix of training, certification, education, and experience required.
  • Three (3) years of systems administration or experience in an enterprise environment is required.
  • Prior experience in a casino IT environment preferred.
  • A smartphone capable of running company applications and communication systems is required. If the company does not provide a smartphone, a candidate or employee may be provided a smartphone of the company’s choice through a payroll deduction program.
  • All employees must proficiently use a smartphone for company applications, email, and text.
  • Must obtain and maintain a Pueblo of Santa Ana Gaming and Regulatory Commission key gaming license.
