Inventory Associates are responsible for ensuring accurate inventory levels throughout the store. Their work helps ensure that our customers always find what they need, when they need it. Inventory Associate responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Inventory Accuracy amp; Reporting:

  • Perform cycle counts using Zebra handheld computers and MANGO reports

  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies

  • Maintain daily reporting and correct negative inventory counts

  • Shoot zero counts weekly to ensure accurate stock levels

  • Follow MANGO schedule and monthly cycle count directives in OneNote

  • Process weekly Defective and Stolen bins which impact inventory

  • Maintain accurate signage of physical aisle locations on the sales floor

Merchandise Maintenance:

  • Ensure all products are correctly located, priced, and labeled with valid UPCs

  • Use blue dot system for items with multiple locations, ensuring updates in IMU system

  • Assist with store resets as directed by management

Customer Service:

  • Assist customers as needed to Vision Ace Hardware standards

  • Master the POS system to assist customers and trace transaction history when necessary

  • Always greet customers with a smile and ask, “What can I help you find today?”

  • Walk customers to products and ensure they have what they need for their project

Store Communication:

  • Stay informed of store updates, flyers, goals, and schedules by checking the bulletin board daily

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • Strong computer skills, including Excel, Word, and OneNote

  • Vast knowledge of hardware-related products and home projects is a plus

  • Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to see and read product labels, dispense product knowledge, and communicate with customers

  • Manual dexterity and ability to make appropriate change for customers

  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time

  • Regular bending, climbing, and lifting

  • Must be able to lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds
