We are looking for a junior to mid-level IT Helpdesk Support Technician to help support and maintain our internal services. A successful candidate must have the capacity and desire to learn. Our environment is a highly secure Linux based environment utilizing MacOS and Linux workstations. Windows does not live here, so if you have Linux skills and are familiar with Apple laptops, you are the candidates we want to talk to.

Responsibilities:

  • Building and deploying Apple and Linux laptops
  • Tier1/2 user service and support
  • Local network troubleshooting
  • VOIP and PBX support
  • Managing and supporting secure open-source tools

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Experience managing and supporting Apple laptops
  • Experience with Linux
  • Experience supporting users in secure environments
  • Familiar with both Linux and Mac systems (Linux servers, Mac laptops)
  • Knowledge of Apple OSX and iOS
  • Minimum 3 years' relevant experience
  • Must be able to obtain a security clearance, therefore U.S. citizenship is required
  • Must be able to work out of the Leesburg office 5 days a week

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant area desired.
  • Administration of open-source software (e.g. OpenSearch, Nextcloud, ABM, osTicket, Zulip etc.)
  • Ability to write scripts as needed (e.g., shell scripts, Python, Perl, PHP, etc.)
  • Knowledge of common business services very desirable
