We're seeking a hands-on, solutions-focused IT Administrator to join our team in Conroe, TX.
In this role, you'll help keep SPL's technology environment secure, reliable, and running smoothly. You'll provide day-to-day technical support, configure and maintain end-user devices and systems, support Microsoft and Windows environments, assist with networking and cloud infrastructure, and contribute to IT upgrades, deployments, and other technology projects. You'll work directly with employees, internal teams, and vendors to troubleshoot issues and deliver responsive, practical solutions.
The ideal candidate is technically curious, customer-focused, organized, and comfortable troubleshooting across hardware, software, systems, and basic network environments while continuing to build broader systems administration experience.
What You'll Do
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for technical support requests and service desk tickets
  • Configure, deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and peripheral equipment
  • Install, update, and support operating systems, software applications, Windows-based systems, Microsoft 365, and Active Directory environments
  • Administer user accounts, access permissions, and routine system configurations in accordance with established security standards
  • Support cloud platforms, virtual infrastructure, and foundational networking tasks, including IP configuration, cabling, and patch panel support
  • Monitor system performance, availability, reliability, and security and help identify and resolve technical issues
  • Participate in hardware and software upgrades, deployments, migrations, and other IT projects
  • Track and manage IT assets, equipment, inventory, and related documentation
  • Support end-user training and create technical documentation, procedures, and knowledge base materials
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to support technology solutions and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support cybersecurity incident response, malware prevention, remediation activities, and compliance with information security standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements
What We're Looking For
  • Associate's degree in IT, Computer Science, Network Administration, or related field required; equivalent experience/certifications may be considered
  • Relevant industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or Microsoft certifications preferred
  • 1+ years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or a related technical environment
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience supporting Windows 10/11, Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, and Microsoft 365
  • Foundational knowledge of cloud platforms, networking, and cybersecurity, including Azure or AWS, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VPNs, and VLANs
  • Experience using system monitoring, diagnostic, and performance-analysis tools to troubleshoot technical issues
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, customer service, organization, and follow-through skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities

Work Schedule & Travel
  • Full-time, hybrid position
  • Ability to work outside scheduled hours, including evenings and occasional on-call support, as needed
  • Local and regional travel required up to 20% as required based on business needs
