Are you a resourceful IT troubleshooter, or have a passion for technology inside and outside of the professional world?
Stamm Technologies has multiple openings on our team for a Service Desk Technician or Field Engineer. Please specify in your cover letter which position you are applying for. Most of our clients rely on Stamm as their sole technology resource, so this position requires handling a broad range of clients and tasks.
The ideal candidate for either role will do whatever IT takes to make the client happy. Using smart thinking you'll not only solve client issues but prevent future ones from occurring. This role requires thoughtful, detailed documentation and time entry practices daily. This role is for you if you are deadline-driven with a knack for punctuality and time management.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide end-user support management for anti-spyware and anti-virus utilities, basic networking, printing, password resets, profile migrations, and more
  • Evaluate client needs and recommend relevant upgrades
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert in all areas of IT for clients

Requirements:
  • Two (2) or more years of consulting/technical support experience
  • Knowledge and expertise of Microsoft product lines like Windows-specific technologies (e.g., Active Directory, Group Policy, IIS, SQL Server, and Exchange)
  • Experience in VMWare ESX/Virtualization Technologies (ESX/I, vCenter, P2V tools, etc.) is a plus
  • A strong understanding of networking technologies, including TCP/IP, DHCP, WINS, DNS, SMTP, IMAP4, POP3, OWA, LDAP, etc. is a plus
  • A commitment to quality and customer satisfaction (We want the clients raving about your service.)
  • Evening and weekend support and maintenance activities are required as needed in addition to a rotating on-call schedule
  • Reliable vehicle, a valid driver's license, and active auto insurance are required for travel to client locations throughout the Milwaukee area for regular on-site support and consulting

Bonus points for:
  • Experience with Fortinet and Unifi appliances
  • Experience with Macs and cross-platform support is a major plus
  • Experience with Cloud-based solutions like Google Apps and Hosted Exchange
  • Experience in help desk support if you are applying for the Service Desk position
  • Experience in onsite support if you are applying for the Field Engineer position
