Job description

Job Title: IT Field Support Technician II

Location: Phoenix, AZ 85226

Duration: 3 months (Contract to Hire)

US Citizenship or Green Card Required

Description:

Primarily field technician work being dispatched to customer sites. IT Field Technician tasks include driving to client sites and providing general IT support to multiple customers (retailers, banks, etc.), running break-fix and IMAC calls, and supporting clients. The level of support will vary depending on the customer but will include printer, laptop, server, network, and other technology devices. We are looking for an experienced Laser Printer Technician with hands-on experience working with Lexmark, HP, Plotter, and Formatter printers and with strong break-fix, hardware repair, and OEM service experience.
 

Top 2 required skills:
• Hardware repair and hands-on break-fix experience (printers, PCs, POS, etc.)
• Familiarity with ticketing systems
 

Work Schedule:
• Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. during training,
• Once ready to run calls: Tue-Sat after completing training, 9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. (start each day from home)
• No overtime (OT) during training
• On-call (OC) rotation starts after completing all training and OEM certifications
 

Experience:
• 2–5 years preferred, but we will train the right candidate


Certifications / Education:
• A+ certification is a plus but not required
• Lexmark certifications and experience are preferred but not required
• Experience with Lexmark printer break-fix and equipment installs is a strong plus
• HP, Dell, and Lenovo experience is also desired but not required
• Coverage area: Phoenix Metropolitan and surrounding areas.

Role Expectations:
The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, and maintain composure under pressure. The technician will be responsible for providing on-site technical support, troubleshooting, and maintenance services to our clients, ensuring that all Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met within the required 4–6-hour window.
This role requires extensive driving, efficient routing, and the ability to adapt quickly to changing schedules. Please note: this role will utilize Field Vision for timekeeping. Hours submitted each week in Field Vision and Fieldglass must match.
