Functions as a technologist with a robust understanding of enterprise-scale infrastructure, technologies, and applications, with a passion for Business Continuity, IT Disaster Recovery, Cyber Resiliency, and Risk. Secures cloud initiatives and remains an important part of our IT strategy; understands cloud resiliency, infrastructure, cybersecurity and business continuity. Works across business and technology organizations to ensure plans are adequate to recover critical processes within acceptable timeframes. Plans, conducts, and debriefs regular business continuity exercises and IT recovery drills to test the adequacy of existing plans and strategies, and updates procedures and plans regularly. Acts as a coordinator for continuity efforts after a disruption event.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions • Serves as subject matter expert for disaster recovery and business continuity strategy and planning.• Develops, maintains, and implements business continuity, crisis management, disaster recovery strategies and solutions, including risk assessments, business impact analysis, strategy selection, and documentation of BC and DR procedures. • Plans, conducts, and debriefs regular mock-disaster exercises to test the adequacy of existing plans and strategies, updating procedures and plans regularly. • Serves as a coordinator for continuity efforts after a disruption event.• Develops emergency management plans for recovery decision-making and communications, ensuring continuity of critical departmental processes to deal with organizational emergencies.• Analyzes impact on and risk to essential business functions or information systems to identify acceptable recovery time periods and resource requirements.• Coordinates testing of documented business continuity and disaster recovery strategies and plans.• Writes reports to summarize testing activities, including descriptions of goals, planning, scheduling, execution, results, analysis conclusions, and recommendations.• Creates scenarios to reestablish operations from various types of business disruptions.• Conducts or oversees contingency plan integration and operation.• Partners with project teams to ensure that continuity is designed in all technology and business initiatives.• Identifies opportunities for strategic improvement or mitigation of business interruption and other risks caused by business, regulatory, or industry-specific change initiatives.• Interprets government regulations and applicable codes to ensure compliance.• Develops and implements awareness educational programs and conducts seminars and workshops as needed.• Prepares reports summarizing operational results or accomplishments of specified objectives, goals, or plans.• Keeps abreast of new developments and technologies related to disaster recovery and business continuity.• Designs or implements products and services to mitigate risk or facilitate use of technology-based tools and methods.• Builds Cyber Resilience strategies and drives transformation.• Builds IT Disaster recovery solutions with 3rd parties and Cloud services.• Collaborates with IT Security Director to develop IT Incident Response Plans to help IT staff detect, respond to, and recover from network security incidents such as cyber-crime, data loss, and service outages. • Analyzes corporate intelligence data to identify trends, patterns, or warnings indicating threats to the security of people, assets, information, or infrastructure.• Works individually and on team projects in an environment of teamwork and cooperation.• Is available on a 24/7 basis if needed.• Delivers results while working with remote, virtual, and cross-functional teams without direct authority.• Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.• Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Education/Training Bachelor's degree required.

Licensure/Certification Required:• One (1) business continuity or disaster recovery related certification (ABCP, CFCP, CBCP, MBCP, AMBCI, CBCI, CBRIT, CBRA, etc.).

Preferred:• One (1) top IT certification (MCSE, Linux, UNIX, Professional Cloud Architect/Developer, CCNA, CISSP, Citrix, Cisco, C++, Java, etc.).• ITIL Foundation certification.

Experience • Ten (10) years of IT experience working in large enterprise environments, including eight (8) years of professional experience with business continuity or disaster recovery planning, and four (4) years of experience leading projects or similar initiatives.

• Experience in two (2) or more of the following BCP framework components:o Business Resumption Planningo Crisis Management Planningo Incident Response Planningo Disaster Recovery Planningo Plan Exercising/Testingo Conducting BIAs

• Experience performing BC Audits or managing and coordinating the response to a major, unplanned disruptive event that required activation of BC/DR/Incident or Crisis Management Plans
