Job description

Contingent Systems Analyst / IT Specialist — Online Workflow Management System (OWMS)
Job Summary
TechTrans International (TTI) is seeking a Full-Time Contingent Systems Analyst/IT Specialist to provide business systems analysis and technical support for the Online Workflow Management System (OWMS) supporting the Advanced Test and Logistics Support Services contract with the 704th Test Group at Holloman Air Force Base. This is a full-time position based in Houston, Texas. The Systems Analyst/IT Specialist serves as the liaison between contract business operations and TTI's OWMS development team, translating operational needs into system requirements, validating enhancements through functional testing and UAT, and providing Tier 1 help desk support to government and contractor users. This role works directly under the IT Lead/Project Manager and is well-suited for a technically grounded professional who is equally comfortable writing requirements documentation, executing test cases, and resolving user access issues.
Clearance: Secret clearance eligibility preferred. Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Key Responsibilities
Business Systems Analysis
  • Serve as the liaison between contract business operations and TTI's OWMS development team, translating operational workflow needs into detailed system specifications and user stories
  • Review and analyze business and functional requirements from government users and TTI operational staff
  • Facilitate requirements clarification sessions and support solution design discussions between operations, stakeholders, and the development team
  • Perform functional testing and validate OWMS system enhancements before deployment, ensuring delivered solutions meet business requirements
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and government business sign-off processes for system updates
  • Document processes, workflows, and system functionality to support knowledge transfer, audit readiness, and user training
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend OWMS workflow enhancements to improve operational efficiency
Help Desk and User Support
  • Serve as the first point of contact for OWMS user support requests — login issues, access problems, navigation questions, and routine system errors
  • Resolve Tier 1 issues independently and escalate Tier 2 and above to the IT Lead/Project Manager with complete problem documentation
  • Maintain a help desk log of all support requests and resolutions
  • Assist new government and contractor users with OWMS onboarding, account setup, and initial system orientation
System Administration Support
  • Assist the IT Lead/Project Manager with user account creation, role assignments, and periodic account audits
  • Support OWMS update testing by executing test cases and documenting results against defined acceptance criteria
  • Maintain and update OWMS user guides, system documentation, and process workflow diagrams as directed
  • Assist with data export, archiving, and retrieval tasks for records retention compliance including on-demand CSV exports
  • Assist with AFNET access coordination, firewall documentation, and boundary request submissions as needed
Qualifications
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in business systems analysis, IT support, or a combination in a government or commercial environment
  • Experience translating business requirements into system specifications, user stories, or functional documentation
  • Experience performing functional testing or UAT for enterprise web applications
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and web-based applications
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Information Systems, or related field; equivalent experience considered
Key Skills
  • Strong analytical skills — ability to understand operational workflows and translate them into clear system requirements
  • Customer service orientation — government users depend on this role for timely issue resolution and system guidance
  • Clear written communication for requirements documentation, help desk tickets, and user guides
  • Ability to bridge business operations and technology without losing either perspective
  • Organized and thorough approach to testing, documentation, and account management tasks
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent responsibilities — analysis, testing, and help desk — without dropping any
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting DoD or Air Force IT or business systems environments
  • Familiarity with OWMS or similar enterprise workflow platforms
  • Business Systems Analyst (BSA), Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), or equivalent certification
  • IATA Dangerous Goods awareness (supporting transportation workflow documentation)
  • Basic awareness of CMMC Level 2 and cybersecurity hygiene principles
  • CompTIA A+ or IT Fundamentals certification
Work Location
This position is based in Houston, Texas. Work is performed remotely in coordination with TTI's in-house development team and in support of on-site contract operations at Holloman Air Force Base, New Mexico.
Candidate must require no sponsorship now or at any time in the future.
Placement agencies and outside recruiters need not respond.
