Diverse Agile Solutions (DAS) is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior IT Asset Management (ITAM) Specialist to lead and optimize enterprise IT asset management operations across hardware, software, cloud, and licensing environments.
This role is responsible for overseeing the complete lifecycle of IT assets while ensuring compliance, operational efficiency, cost optimization, and alignment with organizational objectives. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in software licensing, ITAM platforms, vendor management, compliance audits, and IT governance frameworks.
The Senior ITAM Specialist will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including Procurement, Finance, Security, Legal, and IT Operations teams to drive strategic asset management initiatives and improve ITAM maturity across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end IT asset lifecycle management including:
    • Procurement
    • Deployment
    • Maintenance
    • Optimization
    • Retirement and disposal
  • Manage enterprise hardware, software, SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, and licensing assets
  • Maintain accurate asset inventories utilizing CMDB, ITAM platforms, and discovery tools
  • Ensure data integrity through reconciliation processes and governance standards
  • Manage software license compliance, entitlements, renewals, true-ups, and vendor audits
  • Minimize financial and operational risks related to over-licensing and under-licensing
  • Analyze asset utilization, operational costs, and licensing trends to identify optimization opportunities
  • Provide strategic recommendations for cost reduction, consolidation, and sourcing improvements
  • Collaborate with Procurement, Finance, Legal, Security, and IT Operations teams on:
    • Vendor management
    • Budget planning
    • Contract negotiations
    • Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis
  • Conduct audits, compliance reviews, and risk assessments supporting:
    • Internal controls
    • SOX compliance
    • GDPR compliance
    • Regulatory requirements
  • Evaluate, implement, and optimize ITAM tools and automation solutions
  • Support IT governance, change management, and process improvement initiatives
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to continuous improvement of ITAM practices

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of experience working with enterprise IT Asset Management platforms and discovery tools
  • Strong experience managing large-scale software licensing programs and vendor audits
  • Experience working with major software vendors including:
    • Microsoft
    • Oracle
    • Adobe
    • SAP
  • Experience with ITAM tools and platforms such as:
    • ServiceNow HAM Pro
    • ServiceNow SAM Pro
    • SCCM
    • Microsoft Intune
    • CMDB solutions
  • Strong understanding of software licensing models, contracts, and financial management
  • Experience with compliance reporting and governance frameworks
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced enterprise environments

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with cloud asset management in:
    • AWS
    • Microsoft Azure
    • Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Experience supporting hybrid cloud environments
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and IT change management processes
  • Experience with ServiceNow ITSM, ITAM, HAM/SAM Pro, and CMDB modules
