POSITION OVERVIEW Applications accepted from: ALL PERSONS INTERESTED Job Classification: IT MANAGER-APPLICATIONS Posting Number: 38482 Division: Enterprise Application Services Reporting Location: 611 Walker, Houston, Texas 77002 Workdays & Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.* *Subject to Change DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS The purpose of this position is to accomplish business objectives of the Applications function by managing one or more teams involved in the process of designing, developing and implementing of application and cloud technology/solutions (e.g. Middleware, applications, interfaces, security, and hardware) that interfaces with many sub-systems to improve operational costs and efficiency

Drive the cloud solutions through close alignment with marketing, finance, operations, sales and field delivery teams. May develop roadmap, define value propositions and solution positioning in the marketplace RESPONSIBILITIES: MANAGEMENT: Accomplishes staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring appraising job results; coaching, mentoring, and disciplining team members; developing, coordinating, enforcing systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards. Maintains high performing staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training team members; maintaining a safe, secure, and discriminant free work environment; developing personal growth opportunities.

Establishes strategic goals that such organizational objectives by gathering pertinent business, financial, service, and operations information identifying and evaluating trends and options; choosing a course of action; defining objectives; evaluating outcomes. OPERATIONS: Implements service improvements by evaluating trends; anticipating requirements and leading multidisciplinary projects or initiatives; assessing current situation; and using expert knowledge Applications and database design and best practices. Keeps users informed by preparing performance reports and communicating platform status.

Determines inefficiencies by conducting periodic audits. Enhance operational results by identifying developing strategies in application development planning, tracking, management, and quality. Accomplishes financial objectives by forecasting requirements; forecasting annual budget requirements; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.

Safeguards by planning and implementing disaster recovery and back-up procedures and information security and control structures. CUSTOMER SERVICE: Maintains customer service standard by initiating, coordinating, and enforce program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures. Completes customer service operational requirements by scheduling and assigning team members, following up on work results.

Maintains quality service by enforcing quality and customer service standards; analyzing and resolving quality and customer service problems; identifying trends; recommending system requirements. TEAM EFFORT: Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results and performing related responsibilities as needed WORKING CONDITIONS This position is physically comfortable; the individual has discretion about walking, standing, etc. There are no major sources of discomfort in a normal office environment.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management and Information Systems (MIS) or a closely related field. Advanced certifications and directly applicable work experience beyond nine (9) years may be considered for substitution of degree requirement. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS At least eight (8) years of technology experience supporting applications for a department or enterprise IT environment that includes two (2) years supervising a technology team.

LICENSE REQUIREMENTS None PREFERENCES **Preference shall be given to eligible veteran applicants provided such persons possess the qualifications necessary for competent discharge of the duties involved in the position applied for, such persons are among the most qualified candidates for the position, and all other factors in accordance with Executive Order 1-6. ** Preferences shall be given to those with the following: Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics Platform Experience with one or more of the following: with C#, .NET, SQL Server Working knowledge of Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools (e.g. Jira) Experience with Application Integration platforms

Experience working with a portfolio of both on-premise and cloud hosted applications.
