The IT/OT team implements and enforces standards and policies as defined by the Group. The IT/OT team designs, deploys and supports regional and Business areas specific solutions and applications.

This position is part of IT/OT Manufacturing Application Delivery team

The IT/OT Applications & Automation Project Manager is responsible for the delivery of manufacturing application projects, the definition of the solution scope and the selection of partners/solutions able to assist the group in its implementation of manufacturing solutions as defined by the group strategy.

Part of a team of project managers, this position will have a specific focus on delivery solutions related to manufacturing applications and implementation of those solutions to the business..


KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Interface between IT and the Operations

  • Develop a deep knowledge of the BA(s)/Functions(s) business and build positive relationships with a specific focus on plant operations

  • Educate operational partners about IT processes, roles, and capabilities.

  • Establish communication processes and channels across business functions.

Business Partner

  • Partner with business leadership to plan new joint initiatives aligned with corporate strategy, evaluate proposals, and determine how they fit into business capability roadmaps and priorities.

  • Develop project portfolio based on business strategic plan.

  • Advocate for awareness and focus on business partner strategic plans.

  • Partner with enterprise architecture to develop and maintain multi-year business capability roadmaps.

  • Identify and integrate business partners' long-range plans into business capability roadmaps and priorities, as appropriate.

Solution Provider

  • Expert in Industrial processes

  • Be able to draft specifications and functional analyzes

  • Project management with methodology, organization and resource planning by ensuring the training of the necessary teams.

  • Sensitive to the operational efficiency and resilience

  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental aspects at all phases of the project.

  • Focus on business value rather than solutions to develop ideas, including digital awareness, risk assessments, business continuity, and business capability requirements.

  • Be creative and innovative with regards to your knowledge and awareness of industry trends and digital advances as they relate to new opportunities and business needs.

Project Manager

  • Responsible for the industrial project, budget and deadline

  • Responsibility of project stakeholders

  • Cooperation between different internal teams

  • Expertise in the field of automation, industrial IT and applications.

  • Roll out Imerys industry solution portfolio on our sites following our BCM (Business Capability Model)

  • Select the solutions that will be included in the Imerys catalog of applications

  • Ensure compliance with IT security rules and digital Platform

  • Roll out projects designed by the IT/OT team and the group (standard data collection-OPC UA, Industrie 4.0 projects)

  • Escalate in case of conflicts regarding several activities inside his projects

  • Take responsibility for support level 2 and 3 management before the solution moves to support and the IT/OT application team

Education and Experience requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Information Systems, or Engineering

  • 5+ years of experience in the implementation of industrial or automation projects

  • Extensive experience in manufacturing industrial and OT solutions (interface, application, supervision).

  • Strong knowledge about automation solutions, IIOT, electricity, industrial process and industrial communication protocols

  • Strong business knowledge in an Industrial environment.

  • Have a good knowledge and understanding of application architecture.

  • Approximately 25% travel
